After working for many years in corporate America and having a desire to take advantage of bigger opportunities, more income, and a better lifestyle, Terry Hansen decided to start his first marketing consulting company in 2005. The first two years of business ownership seemed to run smoothly and everything was going fine until The Great Recession of 2008 arrived and changed everything.
Valuable clients started leaving, it became more difficult to find new clients, and soon he had run out of money. Terry was forced to close the doors on his business and find a new way to support his wife and three children.
In 2008, during the worst recession the country had ever seen, Terry reinvented himself and started a second company. He worked with the late and great Gary Harvey who coached and mentored him on how to finding more clients, closing more sales, and growing customer relationships.
Thanks to the guidance from the giants who came before him, the school of hard knocks and much trial-and-error, Terry learned how to grow a business during a recession.
In 2009 all of his hard work eventually paid off and he earned his first six-figure income. In the years that followed Terry went on to start additional companies and began training and coaching other entrepreneurs, managers, and sales professionals on what he had learned.
Over a decade later, Terry’s company Hansen University continued to teach, coach, and mentor entrepreneurs and business leaders through his live events, online courses, Youtube show, and blog articles on how to find more clients, close more sales, grow client relationships and expand their companies in good economic times and bad.
Sadly Terry’s legendary mentor and coach, Gary Harvey, passed away in 2020 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. However, Gary’s legacy lives on in the coaching and training Terry still provides his clients today.
Terry’s greatest desire is to serve and create value for business owners in the same way that Gary Harvey did for him so many years.
In November 2020, Hansen University merged with Arcane Marketing and RizeX. This merger allows him to utilize his vast knowledge and experience in sales and marketing to serve the needs of Arcane Marketing’s clients. He designs and develops marketing strategies, manages client projects, determines project schedules, scope and budget, directs team members in meeting client objectives, manages client expectations, communicates with stakeholders, builds and manages the client services team, and more.
