Lauren Shelley holds a Bachelor’s in Web Design and Development from BYU-Idaho, with a minor in Computer Information Technologies. She’s a Junior Web Developer at Arcane Marketing, where she brings over 10 years of customer service experience to every project. She’s genuinely excited to build a site that feels like your brand, not a template.
What sets Lauren apart is her eye for design. She’s an artist at heart, with a background in charcoal and oil painting, and that creative instinct shows up in everything she builds. Long before she wrote her first line of code, she was trained to think about composition, balance, and how a viewer’s eye moves across a page, skills that translate directly into how she approaches layout, spacing, and visual hierarchy on the web. It’s a perspective a lot of developers don’t have, and it means her work tends to feel intentional rather than assembled from a template.
Beyond web development, her skill set spans UX/UI design, PHP development, and eCommerce, along with graphic design and animation. She’s comfortable working across the stack, with experience in both Node.js and Java on the backend and frontend, and she’s equally at home troubleshooting a technical issue as she is refining how a page looks and feels. Whether it’s fixing something under the hood or fine-tuning the visual details, she brings the same level of care to both sides of the work.
Simply put, she loves design in all its forms, and it shows in the polish and attention she brings to every project. That combination of technical know-how and genuine artistic instinct means she doesn’t just build websites that function well; she builds ones that feel considered, from the code to the color palette.
Outside of work, Lauren’s happiest outdoors, hiking and camping with her husband and dog, or getting a workout in at the gym. She loves game nights, good meals, and hanging out with family and friends, her cats and dog always somewhere in the mix. She’s also an avid reader, always up for a book that takes her somewhere new, and she carries that same curiosity into her creative work — she’s regularly experimenting with new mediums and techniques in her personal art practice, from charcoal sketches to oil paintings.
Whether she’s writing code, designing a layout, or working on a canvas, Lauren approaches every project the same way: with curiosity, care, and an eye for the details that make something feel finished. That’s the standard she holds her client work to as well; she wants every site she touches to feel like it was made with intention, not just assembled to check a box.
