Objectives

Our objective was to increase the amount of organic traffic to the website using a variety of SEO strategies and tactics that are proven to help increase rankings and drive qualified organic traffic to their website. This started with improving the on-page SEO metrics, calls-to-action, better content, and increased links.

The client is [was] a smaller law firm, located in Missouri who specializes in DUI defense services. This client has been with Arcane Marketing for the last 4 years now (as of 2023) and has enjoyed decent success. This attorney had ambitious business goals and a meager budget to accomplish them. However, with a consistent budget that has never increased, and a fluctuating economy due to the coronavirus pandemic, we realized that we needed a slight “bump” in performance if we wanted to hit any of the goals lined out for us. How the objectives were achieved

After looking at the overall health of the law firm’s website, we noticed a lack of good local listings and overall links. The local listings have a dramatic impact on a website’s Google Business Profile rankings (in Google Maps). We decided to begin focusing more of our efforts in our link building processes. The website generally has really good on-page optimization and is well optimized for a user’s mobile experience. Additionally, the client has an in-house content writer who posts regularly to their blog. We decided to shift the client’s budget to a link building strategy that consisted of:

  • Guest blog posting
  • Outreach link building
  • Asset creation including infographic design
  • Local SEO listing submissions

We were successful in obtaining links via outreach by almost 8% total. In other words, out of 100 attempts to obtain a link from websites with a domain authority of 50+, 8 of them complied.

Our guest blog posting efforts also brought in roughly 60 backlinks from websites with domain authorities above 60.

Additionally, we utilized local listing directories to obtain many more links.

The consistent link building processes began in May of 2020 and are continuing to this day.

 

Results

As a noted example: From September of 2019 to September of 2020, there were 4,478 new organic users who found our client exclusively using Google Organic Search. From September 2018 to September 2019. only 573 new organic users found our client in Google Search. That is an increase of 681%.

Our client has reported a LARGE increase in new phone calls (which typically turn into new clients), business revenue, high profile clients, and many new lead opportunities. This attorney has hired several other lawyers to handle the majority of the new business this firm continues to enjoy. The once small law firm is now a formidable force and continues to do well. They are still an active client today.
